Art House will take your computer and peripherals…

Written by Robert Stockham

I have mentioned the importance of recycling your old electronics. here is your chance to do just that and support a great local cause. From the email that we received:

Looking for computers…
Art House is fortunate to have a host of wonderful volunteers who are ready and eager to work, but they need computers! Art House is currently accepting donations of computers. For system compatability, Windows 2003 or newer is preferred. To make a donation, please contact Elizabeth Emery at 216.398.8556 or eemery@arthouseinc.org

Thank you for your continued support of Art House.

Be sure to visit their website to find out more about them, or to take a great art class!

Hi there. I cannot thank you enough for what you and Bud are helping do in Cleveland.

Have you been introduced to Pat Hanson and her son Dan Hanson? One of them runs a service that disassembles old electronics and recycles the materials – the responsible way. It is http://www.RET3.org and is located off E30 and Payne. People can take a full write off for anything they donate. There are too many old monitors and stuff being shipped to China to fester in pools of poisoned liquids that destroy life in all forms.

The other one is Computers Assisting People http://www.capinc.org/ (CAP). Its focus is in assisting organizations (schools, churches, community centers, etc.) that deal with children, seniors, the poor, the disabled and others that can really be empowered by computer technology. Donated computers are rebuilt and retrofitted and donated to CLE organization. He also has a personal website at http://www.greatlakesgeek.com where he helps provide tech guidance to people.

They are really great people. I will forward their profiles to you on Facebook. I would like for you (in your spare time of course) to meet and greet – and I would love to be there!!

    J’adore!
